With a year of mostly living our lives in our homes, to make the world feel bigger, many have taken to letter writing. With it comes a collection of pens, stamps, cards, envelopes, and paper. For this project, a small decorative box was made from two special pieces of wood. One was a plank from 'Herbie' the oldest Elm tree in Maine that lived to 217 years old before it came down in 2010. The other was a piece of firewood that was spalted and saved from the fire pile to use for this project.
