About LZ Design
LZ Design, founded by Lee Zamir, is a furniture design studio based in Owls Head, Maine.
What has always driven me was a simple focus on making things with people I like, for people I like. Working with you to understand your needs and what you are looking for, to collaborate with you on the design process, is a joyful part of the process for me.

Lee Zamir - Founder and Furniture Maker
Lee Zamir is an MIT graduate where he received his BS and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He worked at Bose Corporation from 1997 through 2019 and held various positions within the company that span engineering, research, sales, and marketing. Most recently, as the Director of Bose’s New Business Development Lab, Lee worked with innovators and entrepreneurs inside and external to the company to prototype new product concepts and incubate new growth businesses.
Lee is now at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, sharing what he loves with students, staff and faculty. He helps run several makerspaces on campus, helping members of the MIT community design and make things with technical skill and aesthetic beauty,
