This client's house has a good number of acres of mature forest that it looks out on. A black cherry tree with a large burl had fallen and the client wanted to honor this tree with a table made from that burl. Several slabs were cut to make multiple tables. For this one, we embedded a small magnet at the center of the tree rings. A small turned bowl was also made with a small magnet so the two are drawn together. This small bowl welcomes guests with Hersheys Kisses and other chocolate snacks.
